Rotary driers from T & I are widely used for drying relatively large throughputs of granular products and by - products and consists of a slowly rotating cylindrical drum, which is normally inclined at a small angle to the horizontal. Wet feed is introduced into the upper end and dried product withdrawn at the lower end. Humid air carrying moisture, and in some cases dust, is transferred from the material being and removed in a cyclone, a cyclone / wet scrubber combination or bag filter.
